Brown Leather Dining Chair Sale price$989.00 USD Regular price$1,400.00 USD

Description

Brown Top-Grain Leather Dining Chair with Fully Upholstered Organic Form | 24 Inch | Leather Dining Chair

Every surface is leather: the seat, the back, the arms, and the legs themselves -- all covered in the same warm tan top-grain leather so the form reads as a single continuous material object rather than an upholstered case on exposed legs. The back is a low organic crescent that opens at the top center, curving down from the peak on both sides to form the arms, which extend forward and down to meet the upholstered legs. No exposed frame anywhere in the profile.

At 23.6 by 22.6 by 31.9 inches the footprint is compact, the 23.3-lb weight light for the presence the chair carries in a room. The fully upholstered legs distinguish the piece from most dining chairs -- at this scale and in this material they give the form a sculptural weight that bare wood or metal cannot replicate. In warm evening light the tan leather glows across the curved back face. The leather arms eliminate the hard armrest edge typical of wood-armed dining chairs, which makes the piece more comfortable for extended seated use. At 23.3 lbs it repositions easily. No assembly required.

The Martens Dining Chair from Moe's Home Collection measures 23.6 inches wide by 22.6 inches deep and 31.9 inches tall. Top-grain leather in brown with fully upholstered form including legs, metal frame, foam cushioning. At 23.3 lbs it repositions easily. No assembly required.

Meet the Maker

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
