Moe's Home Collection
That item has been discontinued, but here are similar options.
Moe's Home Collection started in the mid-1980s in Vancouver, when founder Moe Samieian opened a retail store with a simple instinct: what was available simply was not interesting enough. That instinct became a design philosophy, then a company. Today Moe's designs every collection in-house and manages manufacturing relationships across North America, Southeast Asia, and Europe, always in natural acacia, solid hardwood, reclaimed timber, stone, and woven textiles.
At AURA Modern Home, we carry Moe's because the pieces bring genuine material character to a room at prices that hold up to real scrutiny. The quality-to-value ratio is what keeps Moe's on the professional shortlist after forty years.
Moe's Home Collection Furniture: The Full Range
Sofas and sectionals. Accent chairs in natural wood and upholstery. Coffee tables and side tables with stone or solid wood tops. Dining tables in solid acacia and reclaimed timber. Dining chairs with woven seats and solid wood frames. Platform beds and upholstered bed frames. Nightstands, chests, and dressers built on solid hardwood frames. Sideboards and buffets that close a wall without closing it off. Writing desks and bookcases built for rooms that need structure without visual noise.
Moe's furniture covers the full home, and the design logic holds across every category. A Moe's dining table and a Moe's sideboard in the same room read as related decisions, not coincidences. That kind of collection coherence is harder to find than it should be.
Design Notes: The sideboards and dining tables are where Moe's is hardest to replace. Wide acacia tops with visible grain. Solid wood bases with real weight. These are the pieces that anchor a room without announcing themselves.
Acacia, Stone, and Reclaimed Wood: Moe's Home Furniture Materials
Warm acacia wood with visible grain and a surface that changes in different light. Natural stone that grounds a tabletop with physical weight, the kind that makes a surface feel chosen rather than placed. Mixed metals in finishes that carry contrast without forcing it. Woven jute, hand-loomed cotton, and upholstery fabrics that layer a room rather than simply filling it.
Moe's also uses reclaimed wood in select collections, selecting kiln-dried timber for dimensional stability in pieces where character and longevity are both part of the point. Solid hardwood frames are standard across the seating and bedroom lines.
Curator's Observations: A natural acacia dining table does not go out of style because it was never styled in the first place. It lands in a room and holds. A Moe's piece does not ask the room to explain it.
Why Interior Designers Choose Moe's Home Collection
Moe's furniture earns its place on professional shortlists because the brand designs collections in-house and manages its manufacturing partnerships over years, not seasons. Pieces arrive looking like the photography. Solid hardwood construction where it counts. High-density foam seating. Quality hardware throughout. These are the details people stop noticing until they buy something that does not have them.
For homeowners, Moe's is the honest answer to a real question: what do I buy when I want natural materials and genuine craft without a custom project budget? The pieces feel found rather than selected. Considered, not configured.
Design Notes: Solid hardwood frames, quality drawer construction, and hardware that holds over years of real use. These are the construction details that do not show up in the photography but show up every day in the room.
Moe's Home Collection and the Organic Modern Aesthetic
At AURA Modern Home, we reach for Moe's most often when a room is being built around the organic modern aesthetic. The style asks for honest materials, layered surfaces, and furniture with a sense of physical weight and calm. Moe's delivers all of that.
A solid acacia dining table next to a set of woven chairs. A reclaimed wood sideboard as the room's anchor. A platform bed with clean lines and a tactile linen finish that reads quietly under lamp light. These are the moves Moe's makes naturally, in rooms where the goal is warmth without clutter.
The brand also holds its own in mid-century modern rooms where the brief calls for tapered legs, warm wood tones, and clean architectural profiles. And several collections draw from global-eclectic references, introducing hand-loomed textiles and mixed-material pairings that add depth to a room without adding disorder.
Curator's Observations: Let the Moe's piece carry the room. A natural acacia table needs a simple chair, controlled light, and not much else. The material does the work.
