Description

Golden Yellow Concave Curved Sofa without Arms | 81 Inch | Sofa

The form's argument is the curve. In plan the sofa follows a concave arc -- the back and seat sweep gently inward, the center receding slightly while the ends come forward. From the front it presents as a long horizontal form with mitered end panels at each side, the angular end cuts reinforcing the curved geometry rather than softening it. No arms at all. The back is one continuous upholstered plane following the arc; the seat is one integrated surface beneath it. The silhouette from the front reads as clean and composed -- two horizontal bands, back above seat, both curving.

What a concave plan does to a room that a straight sofa cannot: the open arc orients the space it faces. Sitters at each end are subtly angled toward center; conversation opens naturally. Placed facing a room's primary focal point -- fireplace, view, dining table -- the curve gathers rather than simply filling a position. The sofa reads differently from inside the arc than from outside, which is the quality that makes curved seating worth the floor plan complexity.

The golden yellow reads as warm and occupying from across the room -- it carries into a space before the curve registers. At 80.7 inches wide and 39 inches deep the footprint is generous, and the 39-inch depth at the curved ends means the actual wall clearance required is measured at the ends, not the center.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
