76" Black Dining Table (BC-1111-02-0) by Moe's Home Collection image
76" Black Rectangular Dining Table Sale price$1,899.00 USD Regular price$2,599.00 USD

Description

Black Solid Oak Rectangular Dining Table with Cylinder Legs | 76 Inch | Seats 6 to 8

The same cylinder leg architecture as the larger Post table, resolved at 76 inches. At this length the four black oak columns feel closer together - the proportion between the top surface and the four corner posts shifts at the smaller scale, the cylinders occupying a higher visual percentage of what the eye takes in when standing beside the table. The black white oak grain reads in the same raking-light condition throughout: top and legs unified in one continuous dark finish, the material visible as wood rather than lacquer without warm tone competing with the dark register.

At 76 by 36 inches the table seats six without crowding, eight tightly. In rooms where a 96-inch table would dominate the available floor area, this version provides the same design statement at a footprint that leaves more room for the chairs and for the space itself. At 29 inches it is standard dining height. The cylinder legs are still overscaled relative to a conventional four-leg table at this size - that is still the design intent, not a concession to practicality. At 132 lbs it is manageable with two people. In rooms that carry other black or dark-finish furniture, the Post reads as part of the same material direction; in lighter rooms, it provides the decisive dark anchor. Some assembly required.

The Post Dining Table from Moe's Home Collection measures 76 inches wide by 36 inches deep and 29 inches tall. Solid white oak in black finish, rectangular top on four cylinder legs. At 132 lbs it requires two people to position. Some assembly required.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
