Description

Font Side Table in Brushed Aluminum with a Round White Marble Top

The Font table pairs two materials that work in opposite directions. The base is dark brushed aluminum in a trumpet form: a wide cone at the floor, narrowing to a waist, then opening into a shallow concave cup that cradles the marble disc above it. The brushing marks in the aluminum are directional and visible in raking light, giving the dark metal a fine linear texture rather than a plain matte or polished surface. The round white marble top sits within that cup, its pale surface carrying subtle grey veining and reflecting ambient light back into the room. The piece is dark below and bright at the top, which reverses the usual visual weight pattern of a marble-topped table.

The Font Side Table from Moe's Home Collection stands 22 inches tall at 15.5 inches wide and 15.5 inches deep. The compact footprint makes it easy to place beside a deep chair without projecting far into the room, and the marble surface provides enough area for a drink and a small object. At 24.2 lbs the construction is solid. The contrast between the dark aluminum base and the white marble reads clearly from across the room, giving the piece a presence larger than its scale.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
