Description

Golden Yellow Two-Piece Convex Curved Sectional | 161 Inch | Sectional Sofa

Two convex sofa pieces joined to form a large outward-bowing arc at 161 inches. The combined form pushes forward at center, both pieces curving toward the viewer, the back panel and seat edge following a single forward bow across the full span. Soft rounded end profiles at each side, no mitered geometry -- the form reads as generous and rounded rather than composed and edged. At 13 feet the convex arc presents itself to the room rather than gathering the room around it.

The difference between a convex and concave sectional at this scale is spatial rather than aesthetic. Where the concave form creates an interior -- a gathered zone facing in -- the convex form creates a presence that faces out. It reads differently depending on where you are in the room: directly in front it is a forward-curving soft object; from the sides and behind, the arc wraps gently around the seating zone. The rounded ends contribute to this sense of contained volume.

In golden yellow the color and the rounded soft form reinforce each other: both warm, both approachable, neither angular nor edged. At 179 pounds it is the lightest of the three sectional configurations. The same advance planning on delivery and position applies as with the other large-format pieces in this series.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
