The Dikis has a two-material construction that reads well, an ash veneer MDF top in brown over sides that carry through the veneer finish, with a polyurethane faux leather panel detail that gives the piece a subtle upholstered quality. The combination is unusual and rewarding. The MDF construction is solid.
Works as a bedside table in a dark academia-inflected bedroom, a side table in a study where warm wood and leather are the palette, or any position where a surface with genuine material variety is appropriate.
