Description

Mid-Century Walnut Dining Chairs in Cream PVC, Set of 2

The cream PVC version of the Deco dining chair from Moe's Home Collection changes the room differently than the darker options. Pale against warm walnut is a pairing that reads quietly in daylight: tonal and balanced rather than high contrast. At dusk with a lamp on, the cream seat catches warm light and the walnut deepens, and the chairs settle into the room in a way that feels genuinely composed.

The frame is solid American walnut with walnut veneer accents over a plywood core. The structure is sound without being heavy. The padded PVC upholstery covers seat and backrest, offering a soft sit and wiping clean after meals, a practical advantage over fabric in a chair used daily. The 31-inch overall height sits comfortably at standard dining tables. Sculpted curves and tapered legs complete a silhouette that is easy to place and hard to tire of.

Mid-Century Form, Japandi Palette in a Cream Dining Chair

The Deco silhouette reads Mid-Century Modern: the curve of the backrest, the taper of the legs, the honest use of solid walnut. In cream PVC against natural walnut, the Japandi quality comes forward. The color restraint, the warm-neutral palette, the absence of excess detail: this is a chair for rooms edited toward calm. It transitions between formal dinner settings and casual everyday dining without restyling the space around it. Sold as a set of two.

Meet the Maker

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
