Description

Brown Solid Oak Cylindrical Nightstand with Two Curved Drawers | 19 Inch | Drum-Form Bedside Table

No corners anywhere in this piece. The case is a full cylinder: round disc top, a continuous curved surface wrapping all the way around, no flat face, no visible base. On the right side of the drum, two curved drawer fronts are fitted precisely into the cylinder wall, each with a small recessed black metal tab pull. The rest of the surface is one unbroken curved panel of solid oak, the grain following the curve and reading differently at each viewing angle. In warm brown the oak is rich and tonal, the grain active across the round form without any flat plane to interrupt it.

At 19 by 19 by 18.5 inches this sits at standard nightstand height. The cylindrical form has a specific consequence at the corner of a bed: no projecting angles into the circulation path, no geometric opposition to the straight lines of a headboard. In rooms with rectangular furniture the drum shape introduces soft geometry at the one bedside scale. Under warm evening lamp the grain on the curved face catches light as it wraps, the tonal shift in the wood becoming more visible as the light angle drops. At 45 lbs it repositions easily. Some assembly required.

The Theo Two Drawer Nightstand from Moe's Home Collection measures 19 inches wide by 19 inches deep and 18.5 inches tall. Solid oak in brown finish, full cylinder case with two curved drawers and small black metal pulls. At 45 lbs it repositions easily. Some assembly required.

Meet the Maker

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
