Tullia Accent Table in Solid Black Marble with a Classical Pedestal Form and White Veining
The Tullia is furniture that reads as architecture. The form follows a classical sequence: a flat plinth at the base, a rectangular body rising from it, a slight cornice at the top that overhangs the body. In black marble the white veining moves diagonally through all three elements, the veins cutting across the horizontal registers of the form without regard for its architectural logic. At 15 inches wide and 18 inches tall the piece is compact, but the mass of the solid marble makes it read as larger and more weighted than its dimensions suggest. Against a pale floor it anchors its own small area. Against a darker surface it merges into the environment and re-emerges in the reflected light of the polished top.
The Tullia Accent Table from Moe's Home Collection stands 18 inches tall at 15 inches wide and 12 inches deep. The top, body, and plinth base are all the same solid material; the veining continues across each face of the piece. At 59.4 lbs the construction is notably dense for this footprint. Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
