Description

Tan Leather Armless Modular Sofa with Grid Tufting | 127 Inch | Modular Sofa

Same three-unit modular form as the oat version -- armless, open ends, rounded back crowns, grid tufting on each unit's back and seat -- in top grain tan leather where the tufting reads with full clarity. In leather each grid seam is crisp and shadow-distinct; the pattern is the dominant visual feature across the full 127.7-inch width. From across a room the three units read as a single long tufted surface with a warm cognac tone; closer up, the natural grain variation of the top grain leather is visible across each tufted panel and the joints between units register as fine vertical lines in the overall surface.

The tan at sofa scale introduces a substantial warm horizontal volume into the room. Against pale walls the cognac leather is the space's most prominent warm surface; against darker materials it reads as a warm anchor. The modular seams between units are an honest expression of the construction -- they are not seamless upholstery but a assembled system, and the leather makes that quality more readable than fabric does because the material reads more precisely at the junction lines.

At 203.4 pounds the leather assembly is slightly heavier than the oat version. The same 43.3-inch depth and lounge-proportion seat characteristics apply. Top grain leather in this application will develop a slight patina at the most-used seat zones and along the back cushion surfaces at points of regular contact -- in the tan the aging reads clearly over time and eventually becomes the material's defining character rather than simply evidence of use.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
