Description

Oatmeal Modular Lounge Sectional with Ruched Back and Ottoman Extension | 118 Inch | Sectional Sofa

The three-module sofa spine from the modular sofa configuration, combined with a large perpendicular ottoman extending from the right end -- the result being a 118 by 81.8 inch L-shape where the sofa seating runs the full 118-inch horizontal length and the ottoman provides a generous legrest and secondary seating extension. The ruched gathered fabric appears at two seam junctions across the sofa back; the arm bolster caps the left end. The ottoman is backless and at seat height, making it equally useful as a place to extend legs from the sofa corner position or as a secondary low seat.

The lounge configuration is the one to choose when the room has linear length to offer along one wall and a corner pocket where the extending ottoman can sit without blocking circulation. At 118 wide and 81.8 deep the combined footprint is substantial but L-shapes read as more spatially efficient than straight sofas at the same seating capacity -- the ottoman effectively adds a chaise position without claiming additional linear wall length.

In oatmeal the 118-inch sofa back reads as a continuous pale warm surface with the ruched points adding rhythm. At 253 pounds and 118 linear inches, delivery path should be planned in advance.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
