56" Square Brass Finish Metal Mesh Wall Art

Square Metal Mesh Wall Art in a Brass Finish

Square metal mesh wall art is a frame with a web inside it. A thin black metal frame holds an irregular gold web of lines that meet at nodes, with one small solid gold patch near the bottom. The finish is brass, and it sets dark against light.

The composition plays dark and light finishes against each other, mixing smooth dark surfaces with textural light ones that carry a heavy dose of patina. At 56 inches square it is large enough to be a focal point over a fireplace or buffet. The metal piece is not overly heavy, thanks to the lightness of the elements brought together. Abstract and contemporary, it follows the modern organic idea.
