The slender, tapered ceramic body of this tall moss green table lamp is finished in a moss green glaze and grounded by a substantial antique brass pedestal foot. Green against antique brass is an old pairing that still works: the brass warms the base while the glaze carries the color up the column.
The heavily tapered hardback drum shade, covered in crisp white linen, narrows to 5 inches at the top, which keeps a 38-inch lamp from looking top-heavy. At 10 inches across, it fits a console or buffet, a narrow nightstand, or a desk where width is limited. Fired glazes on ceramic vary slightly.
