Description

Golden Yellow Tufted Corner Modular Lounge Chair | 31 Inch | Modular Lounge Chair

The corner unit is the structural and visual pivot of the Davie sectional: a square 43.5 by 43.5 inch module with no arms, positioned at the bend between the two legs of the configuration. Where the arm chairs terminate the configuration's ends and armless centers extend its length, the corner unit turns the form -- connecting the left-running leg to the right-running leg, the tufted seat cushion at the same generous low-profile height as the rest of the system, loose back cushions positioned at the interior angle providing support at the corner seat position. In golden yellow polyester the corner unit reads as the sectional's visual anchor -- the square form settled at the center of the L or U arrangement, the warm amber tone consistent across all connected modules.

As a standalone piece the corner chair functions as a square low lounge seat -- no arms in any direction, generous 43.5 inch depth allowing a fully extended or cross-legged seated position. At 30.7 inches high the seat sits at the same low lounge height as all other pieces in the system. The grid-tufted seat cushion in golden yellow reads the same way as on the arm chairs: a warm, amber-toned surface with fine tufted grid detail visible across the cushion face in directional light. In warm lamplight the golden tone deepens to a richer, more settled amber.

Building a full configuration requires attention to which arm units face which direction and how many armless centers are needed between them -- the corner chair is the piece that makes the turn, so one corner unit is required for every L or U configuration. The foam, feather, and fiber fill provides the yielding depth the tufted surface implies. The polyester fabric spot-cleans with a damp cloth.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
