The same spindle-back form as the oak dining chair in this series, elevated to counter height and executed in solid walnut. The spindles fan from a shaped seat to a curved top rail, the legs angle outward slightly, and a front footrest rail crosses between the two front legs at a height that naturally catches a foot. In walnut, the grain is deeper and more figured than oak, and the overall tone -- dark warm brown, rich in shadow -- gives the stool considerably more visual weight than its light-toned counterpart.
At 37 inches tall, the silhouette changes. The longer legs become a feature rather than a footnote; the distance between seat and floor is legible as a deliberate proportion rather than just a functional dimension. At a kitchen counter, a peninsula, or a kitchen island, the dark walnut introduces a grounding note that keeps the counter zone from reading as purely utilitarian.

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
