Description

Cream Upholstered King Bed with Scalloped Headboard and Turned Ash Legs | 81 Inch | King Bed

The same scalloped three-arch headboard crown as the queen in this series, at king scale where the additional width changes the proportional relationship between the arches and the bed's total span. At 81.1 inches the outer arches are fuller and the center arch's height advantage reads as less dramatic than at the narrower queen dimension -- the crown reads as a wide, generous curve across the whole headboard rather than as three distinct arches competing for attention. The form is the same French reference; the scale makes it more composed, more settled.

The turned ash front legs at the footboard corners are the second historical accent, unchanged from the queen version. Each leg is lathe-turned with gentle bulges and narrowings in honey-toned ash. They are compact in scale relative to the bed's mass, but they carry the piece's classical character -- a pale upholstered form on small turned legs reads as a deliberate historical object rather than simply a large upholstered surface. The footboard sits low between the legs without competing with the headboard for attention.

At 81.1 by 89.8 by 49.6 inches the headboard height is a genuine room presence. In evening lamplight the scalloped crown casts soft curved shadows along its top edge that make the arches read as dimensional -- the cream polyester becomes a slightly sculptural surface rather than a flat upholstered panel. At king scale the piece needs a room that can hold the full width of the scalloped form without it appearing compressed at the sides; a bedroom with at least 12 feet of clear wall space at the head of the bed lets the composition read fully.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
