Eighty-five and a half inches wide, nearly five feet tall - the pale wheat upholstered panel fills the bedroom wall from side to side and rises to a height that makes everything arranged beside or above it respond to its scale rather than setting their own. The form is a clean rectangular panel, restrained at the edges, the 80% polyester and 20% linen blend bringing a fine woven texture that catches low-angle morning light across the full width of the surface and settles into a warm, unified field under evening lamp.
Wheat at this scale in a bedroom is a commitment. The color reads warm pale cream across that surface area - in daylight it leans oatmeal, in warm lamp it shifts toward straw - and the visual consequence is that the headboard becomes the primary tonal event in the space. The rounded low platform base sits close to the floor with small dark wood feet, the fully upholstered surface continuing the pale field from headboard down to just above the floor. Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
