Description

Warm Grey Vegan Leather Counter Stool with Shell Back and Iron Footrest | 37 Inch | Counter Stool

Same continuous shell form as the dark teal version -- seat and back in one curved surface, iron legs wrapped in the same material, footrest at mid-height -- in warm grey vegan leather. The grey here reads as greige rather than cool: a grey with a slight warm brown undertone that belongs in the warm-neutral range alongside pale stone, linen, and natural fiber. At the counter position the warm grey stool reads as present without introducing color -- the neutral that integrates with warm wood, pale stone, white tile, and matte plaster without competing with any surrounding material decision. It is the most flexible of the shell stool colorways.

The wrapped iron legs and footrest in the same grey material give the stool a continuous-tone reading from top to bottom -- no exposed metal in a different color, no material contrast at the base. What this does at the counter: the stool reads as a quiet, unified form rather than a piece assembled from visually distinct components. Against warm wood counter surfaces the warm grey reads as a consistent tonal family -- both belong to the warm end of the neutral range, neither competing with the other. Against pale stone or quartz the grey integrates almost entirely, the stool's form rather than its color doing the visual work. In warm kitchen lamplight the greige tone reads slightly warmer, the surface developing a soft, settled quality.

The vegan leather shell surface is practical at the counter position: smooth, wipeable, resistant to the liquid absorption that makes pile fabrics less appropriate at kitchen seating. At 18.5 inches wide three stools at a standard island occupy a compact footprint. At 15 pounds the piece is light and easy to reposition. Confirm counter height compatibility: 37-inch stool height is appropriate for counters between approximately 34 and 37 inches. The grey stool is the counter seat that disappears into the room rather than defining it -- the right choice when the seating should not be the primary material statement.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
