Description

Faux Green Mohair Armless Counter Stool on Metal Legs with Footrest | 37 Inch | Upholstered Counter Stool

Same compact armless counter stool form in faux green mohair -- a smooth-pile 100% polyester with the directional light behavior of mohair: the back face shifts between warmer sage in direct light and cooler olive in shadow depending on viewing angle. The green is a muted, botanical tone, not saturated. The pile behavior is most visible across the curved back face, where the surface changes register with each change in incident light.

At 21.7 by 23.4 by 37.4 inches the proportions are identical to the dark brown version. Green at counter height is a specific material choice -- the color rises above the counter surface and sits in the sightline from the adjacent room. The muted olive pitch keeps it from reading as assertive, but it benefits from a palette that does not compete: grey stone, pale oak, white cabinetry. The common mistake with a statement-upholstery counter stool is treating it as an accent piece; the faux mohair surface is strong enough to anchor the kitchen seating zone as the primary material note. At 19.6 lbs it repositions easily. Assembly required.

The Early Counter Stool from Moe's Home Collection measures 21.7 inches wide by 23.4 inches deep and 37.4 inches tall. 100% polyester faux mohair upholstery in green, metal frame and legs in gunmetal finish, foam cushioning, wire footrest. At 19.6 lbs it repositions easily. Assembly required.

Meet the Maker

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
