Description

Dark Green Modular Corner Sofa Chair | 35 Inch | Modular Lounge Chair

The corner unit of the Swift system in dark green -- 40.16 by 40.16 inches square, no arms, 34.65 high, the pivot piece that turns the sectional configuration from one direction to another. Positioned at the bend of an L or U arrangement, it connects the left-running leg to the right-running leg, both back surfaces providing support at the corner seat position where the sitter faces neither leg directly but sits toward the interior of the seating arrangement. The square form at the corner is the system's structural logic: the same 40.16-inch depth in both directions, connecting cleanly to arm chairs and slipper chairs on each side.

In dark green the corner unit reads as the configuration's visual center -- the square module at the bend, the deep hunter-adjacent green running continuously across the corner's cushion faces as part of the unbroken tonal surface of the assembled Swift arrangement. From across the room the corner position is not visually separate from the adjacent modules; the color and smooth upholstery read as a continuous plane around the turn. In morning light the dark green at the corner seat position reads with the same depth and complexity as the rest of the configuration; in warm lamplight the tone settles uniformly toward its darker range.

One corner unit is required per L or U configuration -- it does not substitute for slipper chairs in straight-line arrangements. As a standalone the armless square form functions as a generous compact lounge seat, 40.16 by 40.16, at the same upright 34.65-inch height. The foam, feather, and fiber fill provides appropriate seating support at the corner position. The engineered wood frame provides the structural continuity for the modular system. The polyester fabric spot-cleans with a damp cloth.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
