Description

Dark Brown Polyester Armless Counter Stool on Metal Legs with Footrest | 37 Inch | Upholstered Counter Stool

The counter stool extension of the Early armless form: a gently curved upholstered back connected to a generous rounded seat cushion, both in dark brown 100% polyester, on four thin gunmetal metal splay legs with a wire footrest loop connecting them at the lower frame. At 37.4 inches the piece pairs with standard 36-inch counter surfaces, the curved back rising above the counter plane.

At 21.7 by 23.4 by 37.4 inches the armless footprint is compact for a back-supported counter stool -- most upholstered seating that offers a back at counter height is wider or deeper than this, which matters when kitchen counter space is limited. The dark brown chenille-like texture deepens in shadow at the curved back face and catches warm light at the front seat edge. Back support at counter height is undervalued; the Early form provides it without the visual bulk that upholstered arms would add at this scale. At 19.6 lbs it repositions easily. Assembly required.

The Early Counter Stool from Moe's Home Collection measures 21.7 inches wide by 23.4 inches deep and 37.4 inches tall. 100% polyester upholstery in dark brown, metal frame and legs in gunmetal finish, foam cushioning, wire footrest. At 19.6 lbs it repositions easily. Assembly required.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
