Description

Warm Brown Three-Drawer Nightstand with Oak Veneer | 26 Inch | Nightstand

Three drawers, a plinth base, and slightly rounded corners at the top edge -- the whole form is a contained rectangular volume that reads as simple and deliberate rather than as furniture that requires noticing. The top corners are chamfered just enough to soften the silhouette without making it distinctly organic; the piece sits between a fully hard-edged case piece and a rounded form, and that middle ground is its character. The oak veneer surface carries visible grain across all three drawer faces and the top, and the medium warm brown stain is a genuine mid-tone -- not a blonde oak, not a near-black, but a settled warm brown that reads as material rather than finish.

The plinth base keeps the piece close to the floor and gives it visual weight that legs wouldn't provide at this scale. A nightstand on legs reads lighter and higher; this one reads as grounded and contained. The horizontal bar pulls in an aged bronze finish introduce a muted darker metal note -- not bright, not polished, the kind of hardware that reads as already broken in. That quality connects naturally to the warm brown wood without requiring a precise tonal match.

At 26 by 18.1 by 24 inches the piece is well-proportioned for use alongside a standard bed: the 24-inch height puts the surface at accessible reach from a typical mattress height, and the 26-inch width provides enough surface area for a lamp, a book, and a glass without crowding. At 61.5 pounds it is heavy for a nightstand -- a reflection of the MDF substrate and veneer construction rather than a disadvantage.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
