90" Berry Purple Sofa (EF-1002-38) by Moe's Home Collection

Berry Upholstered Sofa with Rounded Back and Oak Post Arms | 90 Inch | Sofa
Same continuous barrel-back form -- the full 90-inch arc running from one oak arm post to the other, the warm wood columns flanking the upholstered body as structural and material elements at the sofa's ends -- in deep berry polyester. Berry reads here as a rich plum-adjacent tone: darker than burgundy, warmer than eggplant, the upholstered arc reading from across the room as a single saturated dark-warm color statement. Against a pale wall the berry back presents itself as a composed, intentional color choice -- the curved form emphasizing the color decision by presenting it as an arc rather than a flat rectangle. The oak posts at the ends read as warm natural-wood counterpoints, two vertical columns of blonde wood flanking the dark fabric form.
In morning light the berry polyester reads at its most saturated -- the continuous arc visible against pale walls as a resolved dark warm form, the oak posts catching the directional light as warm vertical accents beside it. In warm evening lamplight the berry deepens toward a richer, more complex dark tone, the oak posts developing warmth alongside it, the combination settling into the kind of room reading that a pale sofa would never achieve. This is the version for rooms that want the sofa to make a case for itself -- rooms with pale walls and natural materials where the berry arc reads as the living room's considered design decision rather than its background element.
The shallow 30.25-inch depth matches the olive version throughout -- the same compact front-to-back measurement that makes this sofa appropriate for smaller rooms or constrained floor plans. At 90 wide and 32.25 high the form is generous in width without dominating in height. The cylindrical bolster pillows at the arm positions are included. The polyester upholstery in berry wipes clean and holds its tone well under ordinary use.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
