Description

Natural Oak Asymmetric Organic Oval Dining Table with Curved Arch-Panel Base | 86 Inch | Seats 6 to 8

The top is not a standard oval. One end is a full arc, the other narrows toward a softer point, the whole shape reading as an asymmetric organic form rather than a racetrack or conventional ellipse. Below it, two curved arch-panel base legs sweep inward at the feet, the same curved panel vocabulary as the Louise accent table carried to dining table scale. Oak veneer over MDF top, oak veneer over plywood base. The natural finish keeps the oak pale and consistent across both surfaces, the grain reading quietly across the full top face.

At 86 by 46 by 30 inches this seats six without effort and eight at capacity. The asymmetric top changes the room reading: no conventional head of table because the two ends are not equivalent. The narrowing end and the broad rounded end read differently, which means seating arrangement here is a choice rather than a default. The two arch-panel base legs keep the under-table space open on all sides, allowing seating to pull in close anywhere along the perimeter. At 135.3 lbs two people are required to position. Some assembly required.

The Louise Dining Table from Moe's Home Collection measures 86 inches wide by 46 inches deep and 30 inches tall. Oak veneer over MDF top, oak veneer over plywood base, natural finish. At 135.3 lbs it requires two people. Some assembly required.

Meet the Maker

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
