Description

Dark Green Faux Mohair Sofa with Rolled Arms and Birch Wood Legs | 85 Inch | Sofa

Same rolled arm form as the dark brown version -- the curving arm tops, the 84.8-inch span, plywood frame, foam and fiber -- in dark green faux mohair with natural birch wood legs. The dark green shifts the sofa from a warm-neutral ground element to the room's color anchor at the primary seating wall. The faux mohair pile in dark green reads as particularly dimensional: the fabric catches light at the rolled arm peaks and across the back's upper surface, the green lighter where the pile faces the light and deeper in the shadowed recesses of the curves.

At 84.8 inches the sofa is a significant surface area of saturated color. In warm lamplight the dark green deepens considerably -- the pile's depth becomes more visible, the color reading as forest-rich and settled. In daylight the olive undertone of the green is more apparent, the surface reading as warm-botanical rather than cool. The faux mohair's directional quality means the sofa reads differently from each viewing angle -- the color shifting slightly as the light angle and the viewing position change relative to the pile direction.

The natural birch wood legs provide a warm material contrast to the dark green -- the light grain reading as a botanical complement to the green's rich tone. This combination belongs in rooms with natural materials and organic textures; the dark green and light wood read as part of the same natural-material palette rather than as contrasting finishes. A common pairing mistake: placing this sofa against a dark wall where the green disappears into the background. Against warm white plaster or pale walls the dark green reads as the room's considered primary element. At 109 pounds standard delivery and placement requirements apply.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
