8" Olive Green Hammered Steel Dome Pendant Light (BZ-1162-16) by Moe's Home Collection

Olive Green Hammered Steel Pendant Lamp with Dome Shade | 8 Inch | Pendant Light
The shade is a compact rounded form -- a dome that widens slightly toward the open base, roughly bell-shaped, at 8.2 inches in all three dimensions nearly a perfect cube of space enclosed in steel. The surface is hammered throughout: small circular indentations cover the entire exterior in a dense regular pattern, each catching light from a slightly different angle and giving the shade a faceted shimmer at close range. The olive green reads as warm and earthy -- closer to moss than sage, a grounded color that carries depth rather than brightness. In a room with natural materials and warm tones it reads as a considered overhead accent, specific without being insistent.
What the hammered texture does to the emitted light is the fixture's defining design quality. Where a smooth steel dome would direct light in a clean cone below, the hammered surface scatters it across the shade itself -- the indentations catch and fragment the glow, and the olive green colors the reflected light warmly on the ceiling and walls around the fixture position. In the evening the shade becomes an active surface, the hammered field showing movement as the lamp settles into the room's warmth. During the day it reads as a small precise color object at the ceiling plane, present without competing.
At 8.2 inches this is a compact fixture suited for positions where a large shade would dominate: over a kitchen counter, above a reading chair, at a bedside pendant position, or grouped in repetition above a dining table where additional scale comes from the series rather than the individual shade. The black cord hangs from a small black ceiling canopy. Steel, 3 pounds.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
