Description

Dark Brown Neem Wood Desk with Pedestal Drawers | 72 Inch | Desk

The same Windsor series neem wood and dark brown finish resolves here as a full 72-inch work surface. Two drawer pedestals -- each carrying two drawers with small oval ring pulls -- flank a center section with an open knee space below and a recessed open niche above it. That center niche is the piece's most specific practical feature: an open shelf-like space visible at the center of the desk surface while seated, separate from the closed drawer storage on each side. The combination of open and closed storage in one form means the desk organizes itself without requiring additional shelving nearby.

Four exposed block corner legs extend below the case, with a horizontal stretcher connecting the leg pairs at each end -- the same structural vocabulary visible throughout the Windsor series. The dark brown neem wood grain runs across the full 72-inch surface consistently, with the natural figure of the wood providing variation across the top without introducing irregularity. Small oval ring pulls on all four drawers are the only hardware accent on an otherwise continuously dark wood surface.

At 72 by 30 by 30 inches the work surface is generous -- wider than most standard desks and at the correct depth for comfortable reach. At 203 pounds the piece is substantial and warrants careful placement before the room is finished around it. In a room with other dark wood elements the desk integrates; in a room without, it introduces the warm dark register of neem wood as the room's primary horizontal anchor.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
