The form is two decisions, both precise. A round top with a fluted edge -- vertical ribbing running the full perimeter of the disc -- and a double-drum pedestal base: a smaller cylinder necking down directly below the top, which widens to a larger cylinder at the floor. The top's fluted edge reads from seated height as an active shadow detail; the ribbing catches directional light across its vertical channels, giving the table's perimeter a textured depth that a plain-edged top does not have. The double-drum base reads as organized and architectural -- the stepped profile of neck into drum more resolved than four legs, and more interesting than a single plain pedestal.
A legless table at 16 inches has a different presence in a room than a legged one. The continuous oak veneer surface -- grain running consistently across top, neck, and drum -- reads as a single material object from any angle. No frame to see through, no hardware, no joint detail at the base. Against a rug or hardwood floor the wide drum sits as a resolved form. In natural light the oak veneer grain shifts direction across the top surface, and the fluted edge casts thin parallel shadows that change as the light angle changes through the day.
At 45.9 inches diameter the round top is generous -- appropriate for larger sofa groupings where a 36-inch table would be visually lost against the surrounding seating. The 16-inch height sits at the lower range of coffee table standard, which keeps the form visually grounded rather than table-like.

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
