Description

Foundry Large Wall Mirror in White Matte Aluminum with an Organic Irregular Frame

The Foundry mirror works because the frame contradicts the expectations of a circle. The outer edge follows an irregular organic path, sometimes more rounded, sometimes with a subtle flatness in the curve, and the frame surface carries a slight textural variation throughout rather than a smooth, machined finish. In white matte aluminum the frame is bright without gloss, reading as a soft halo around the reflective glass from across a room. The slight undulation in the outer edge becomes most readable when you stand close; at a distance the piece reads as approximately round, which is the correct amount of formal tension between intention and accident.

The Foundry Mirror from Moe's Home Collection measures 36.5 inches wide at 1.5 inches deep and 36.5 inches tall. The equal width and height mean it reads as circular rather than oval in any orientation. At 26.4 lbs the aluminum frame and glass construction is appropriately weighted for standard wall mounting. The white finish introduces brightness into darker compositions without the visual complexity that a colored or metallic frame would add.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
