Description

Rustic Oak Cylinder Drum Coffee Table | 36 Inch | Coffee Table

Same wide flat drum form -- the single round cylinder at coffee table height, no legs -- in rustic natural oak. The tone shift from dark brown to natural oak changes what the drum does at the living room center. The dark version reads as the room's grounded dark accent; the natural version reads as an airy, warm-neutral object placed at the seating arrangement's center with a surface. In pale rooms running toward cream plaster, natural linen, and warm wood floors the natural oak drum integrates -- the cylinder's round form reading as a composed object that belongs to the room's tonal palette rather than contrasting against it.

In morning light the rustic oak reads across the cylinder's curved side surface and flat top as a consistently warm, open tone -- the grain visible as a natural texture, the round form catching and turning the directional light as its surface curves from illumination to shadow. The natural variation in the rustic oak grain gives the veneer a slightly organic, handcraft quality at close range -- less uniform than a polished flat finish, which suits the cylinder's own form-over-precision design character. In warm lamplight the natural oak develops honey warmth, the flat round top surface reading as the room's warm low horizontal at 15 inches.

At 36 by 36 inches the drum's floor footprint is compact relative to its visual presence -- the round form reading larger than its area because the eye follows the full circle perimeter rather than measuring width and depth. This is the natural version's particular living room contribution: a warm, circular form at the seating center that gives the arrangement an organic focus without the tonal weight of the dark brown version. Pairs with the companion rustic oak cylinder side table from this series for a coordinated warm-neutral living room arrangement.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
