The Yoli table puts two surface registers against each other. The top is a wide smooth disc, its edge beveled gently downward so the profile tapers toward the rim rather than presenting a blunt wall of material. The pedestal beneath it is a reeded cylinder, vertical ribs running its full height, the drum widening slightly from top to floor. In matte black aluminum the contrast between the smooth disc and the reeded pedestal is entirely about texture in a single tone, shadow falling along the ribs of the base while the top face reflects ambient light evenly. The piece reads as sculptural at distances where a conventional coffee table would read only as functional.
The Yoli Coffee Table from Moe's Home Collection stands 15 inches tall at 30 inches in diameter. The low profile and round form anchor a lounge arrangement without dominating the center of the space at seated eye level. Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
