Description

Round Off Small Nightstand in Walnut Veneer with Single Drawer and Rounded Casing Corners

The Round Off nightstand is a study in how much formal work a single design decision can carry. The same rounded corner logic from the dresser applies here at a concentrated scale: a single drawer sits within a casing whose corners carry a generous radius on all four visible edges, wide enough to make the piece read as nearly oval in its massing when seen slightly from the side. The walnut veneer covers the drawer front, the sides, and the top in continuous grain, no interruptions. Push-to-open operation means no hardware. The rubberwood base maintains the rounded form below the casing body, its own profile echoing the corners above.

The Round Off Small Nightstand from Moe's Home Collection sits 11 inches tall at 20 inches wide and 15 inches deep. The low profile makes the piece a bedside platform more than a conventional nightstand, suited to environments where a lower surface height is preferred or where a lamp on the surface provides the needed elevation. At 34.17 lbs the construction is dense for its size. The piece pairs naturally with the Round Off Dresser in the same walnut finish.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
