16" Smoky Brown Blown Glass Bowl (FI-1144-03) by Moe's Home Collection

Smoky Brown Blown Glass Bowl | 16 Inch | Decorative Bowl
Same oblate sphere form in the same smoky brown high-gloss glass, resolved at 16 inches across. The proportional shift is significant: at this width the piece no longer reads as an object placed on a surface but as a wide horizontal presence that occupies the surface itself. The height remains 3.5 inches -- the same absolute measurement as the smaller version -- but at 16 inches across the disc-like quality becomes dominant. The form reads more as a flat reflecting lens than a vessel, and on a dining table or low console it settles into the horizontal plane as the primary element rather than an accent within a grouping.
The small foot ring at the base creates a narrow line of lift beneath the curve of the bowl -- from a distance that reads as a thin shadow between the glass body and the surface below, which makes the piece appear to float slightly rather than rest directly. The polished smoky glass at this scale returns correspondingly large room reflections: in daylight the surface maps the space above it; in evening lamplight the amber-toned glass glows across the full width of the form. At 5.4 pounds it has the substantive weight of a significant glass object.
The scale decision matters. The small version reads as a companion accent. This one commands the horizontal plane it occupies and should be placed where that scale is earned -- a dining table center, a wide console with clear runway, or a coffee table surface where one strong horizontal form reads better than several smaller objects.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
