Description

Black Performance Fabric Sleeper Sectional with Left Storage Chaise | 116 Inch | Sectional Sofa

The piece performs three functions and manages all three without announcing any of them from the front. As a sectional it reads as a clean L: three-seat sofa on the right, storage chaise extending to the left, the combined form at 115.75 inches wide and 61 inches deep. As a sleeper the back reclines and the seat extends to a sleeping surface with foam and memory foam mattress -- the mechanism housed inside the sofa body without visible hardware from the seated position. As a storage chaise the left extension lifts to a storage compartment below, accessible when the chaise is not in use.

The performance fabric is the practical decision that makes this piece appropriate for the rooms where a sleeper sectional actually gets used: 70% polyester, 30% recycled polyester with C0 water resistance. Spills, casual use, and repeated guest-room service register as events rather than maintenance crises. The near-black fabric and clean slab form read as a considered living room piece rather than a concession to function. This is an important distinction: a dark performance fabric sectional in this profile belongs in a main living room, not just a guest room or media room.

The left configuration means the chaise extends to the left when facing the sofa -- in a room layout the chaise should extend toward the wall or corner where it won't obstruct circulation. At 319 pounds position is permanent; orientation needs to be committed before delivery.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
