Description

Dark Blue Sectional Sofa with Right-Facing Chaise and Rounded Arms | 109 Inch | Sectional Sofa

The right-facing configuration of the same dark blue sectional -- the chaise extending to the right rather than the left, the sofa body to the left, the total footprint identical at 108.7 wide and 68 deep. The form is unchanged: low rounded arms, smooth seat and back cushions, clean low-profile silhouette, the deep navy reading as the living room's primary tonal anchor from across the room. The choice between left and right orientation is determined by the room's floor plan -- which direction the chaise should face relative to the focal wall, the traffic path, and the room's adjacent zones.

In the right-facing configuration the chaise position suits living rooms where the seating zone extends to the right of center, or open-plan arrangements where the right-side chaise creates the boundary between the living zone and an adjacent dining or kitchen space. The navy reads identically in both orientations -- a deep, absorbing dark blue that occupies the seating zone as a resolved presence against pale walls and warm floors. In morning light the dark tone reads at its most composed and restrained; in warm lamplight the navy shifts slightly toward a warmer blue-black, the smooth cushion faces catching directed light as clean planar surfaces.

Both orientations share the same engineered wood frame and smooth glide legs. Dark upholstery accumulates marks and soiling far less visibly than pale or mid-tone alternatives -- an honest practical advantage at a primary family seating position. The 68-inch chaise depth requires appropriate floor clearance; orientation should be confirmed against the room plan before ordering.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
