Description

Reclaimed Neem Wood Dining Table with Dual Cylinder Pedestal Base | 108 Inch | Dining Table

Same form at 108 inches -- the same two solid reclaimed neem wood cylinders at each end, the same flat tabletop, now spanning a longer horizontal distance. At this width the dual-cylinder base reads differently: the top covers more ground, and the span between the two pedestals widens, giving the tabletop more visual weight above the base relative to the smaller version. The surface area of reclaimed neem at 108 by 42 inches is substantial -- the grain variation and warm brown color reading across a wide expanse that seats eight to ten comfortably with genuine elbow room. Each seat at the long sides has uninterrupted knee space below, the cylinders at the ends the only base interruptions to navigate.

Reclaimed neem at this scale is the dining room's material statement. The 108-inch surface in warm brown, with its irregular grain and tonal variation from amber to chocolate, holds the room's primary warm-material moment at the center of the dining zone. In morning light the full grain character of the reclaimed surface reads across the extended tabletop -- the texture and color variation most legible in directional daylight. In warm dining lamplight the neem deepens across its full span, the table's brown surface reading as a rich, warm plane at standard dining height below the room's light source. Against chairs in leather or upholstered linen the warm grain provides the organic material anchor at the dining position.

The practical distinction between the small and large versions is not just seating capacity but spatial proportion. The 108-inch version requires a dining room that can accommodate its full span with clearance to pull chairs at the ends. A rough guide: 54 inches of total room width per long side beyond the tabletop allows comfortable movement at full capacity. The dual cylinders at each end provide proportionally appropriate visual anchoring for the extended span -- neither undersized nor overcrowded at the table's ends. The iron remains internal structural material, invisible from all viewing angles, the table reading entirely as reclaimed neem wood from floor to surface.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
