White Textured Barrel Swivel Chair with Wood Base (KQ-1015-05-USA) by Moe's Home Collection

Splashed White Barrel Swivel Chair with Wood Disc Base | 31 Inch | Swivel Chair
The barrel form -- a continuous back-and-arm surface that wraps from behind the sitter around both sides to terminate at the front of the seat -- sits on a round dark walnut-toned disc base that swivels a full 360 degrees. The base is the mid-century reference: the disc swivel puts the chair's mass on a single circular pivot, which means the chair can orient toward any part of the room without repositioning. That mobility changes how the piece functions in a living room or reading corner -- it participates in the room's social geometry rather than pointing in one fixed direction.
The splashed white fabric is a textured woven blend with a subtle surface variation -- not boucle, not smooth, but a slightly irregular weave that reads as pale and quiet from across the room while carrying enough surface interest to prevent the form from reading as flat at close range. In a light room the off-white barrel recedes into the room's base tone; against a dark wall or dark floor it reads as the room's primary soft pale form. The contrast between the upholstered barrel above and the dark walnut disc below is the piece's material tension -- cool light textile sitting on a warm dark wood circle.
At 31 by 31 inches the footprint is compact for a fully upholstered chair, and the 28-inch height places it at lounge proportion rather than upright seat height. The contained barrel form means the chair reads as a resolved object from any angle -- there is no front or back view that is more or less complete than another. At 57 pounds it rotates easily and repositions without effort.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
