Warm White Dining Chair (OA-1113-05) by Moe's Home Collection

Warm White Cord-Trim Swivel Dining Chair with Barrel Back | 29 Inch | Dining Chair
The back wraps continuously around to form the arms -- a full barrel silhouette in warm white polyester with cotton cord trim visible at the seam lines, the cord detail reading at close range as a tailored finishing line along every upholstered edge. The swivel base sits below the upholstered barrel form as a dark disc element -- the chair rotating freely at the dining position for the easy access and conversational flexibility that a fixed dining chair cannot provide. A small rectangular back cushion rests within the barrel's interior arc as a composed, separate element -- the cushion a soft, yielding support at the upper back while the upholstered barrel provides the form's primary structure around it.
The cotton cord trim is the piece's specific detail. Rather than allowing the upholstery to read as a simple smooth surface, the cord at each seam edge creates a thin raised line at the transitions -- the back face edge, the arm tops, the seat perimeter. At close range these cord lines read as a deliberate, refined detail that distinguishes this chair from barrel forms with plain upholstery seams. The warm white polyester and the natural cotton cord sit in the same pale tonal register, the contrast subtle but present as a surface quality at the dining position. In morning dining room light the cord trim reads at its clearest against the warm white field; in warm lamplight the cord settles into the background while the barrel form maintains its composed pale reading.
At 24.41 wide and 29.53 high the chair is compact -- appropriately scaled for most dining table configurations. At 52.5 pounds the swivel base and solid frame construction read in the piece's weight. The swivel mechanism allows full rotation; the chair returns to a neutral position when not occupied. Warm white upholstery at a dining position requires attentive maintenance.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
