Description

Olive Tufted Modular Ottoman | 17 Inch | Modular Ottoman

The Davie ottoman in olive -- 52 wide, 43.5 deep, 16.5 high, grid-tufted top surface, low-profile plywood structure below. In olive polyester the ottoman reads as a settled, earthy ground element at the room's foot zone -- the muted dusty green tone integrating with warm wood floors and natural fiber rugs without the visual pop that the golden yellow version produces. Paired with an olive sectional configuration the top surface matches the seat cushion tufting as a continuous material note from seat height to floor level, the color and texture language running across the full system without interruption. Against a warm-neutral living room palette the olive ottoman occupies a composed, useful position at the seating zone without drawing attention to itself as a color decision.

At 16.5 inches high the form sits comfortably below the Davie arm chair's 30.7-inch seat height -- the geometry correct for foot extension at the seated position, the wide 52-inch surface spanning comfortably beneath a two-person sitting zone. The grid-tufted surface in olive reads as a fine dimensional texture at close range, the indented squares visible as shadow detail in directional light; from a standing position in the room the tufted olive surface reads as a low, settled horizontal at the living room's floor zone.

As with the golden yellow version, the firm foam fill makes the surface usable as a low tray platform at coffee-table height. The plywood frame provides solid understructure. The polyester fabric spot-cleans with a damp cloth.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
