Green Swivel Upholstered Dining Chair (OA-1074-16) by Moe's Home Collection

Forest Green Faux Mohair Swivel Dining Chair with Curved Back | 32 Inch | Dining Chair
The faux mohair in deep olive-forest green has a pile texture with the slight sheen and direction-sensitive quality of real mohair -- the nap reads differently as the viewing angle shifts, the color deepening or lightening slightly depending on how the light hits the pile. This makes the chair a surface-interest piece at the dining table rather than a flat-colored upholstered form. The curved continuous back wrapping down into the seat gives the form a contained, slightly drum-like silhouette above the dark circular swivel base, which provides 360-degree rotation without repositioning the chair.
The deep green reads as saturated and grounded in daylight -- closer to forest than to olive, with enough dark value that the texture of the pile becomes the surface's visual quality rather than the color alone. In warm evening light the pile's sheen picks up the warmth of nearby lamps and the surface reads almost as a living textile, shifting slightly with every movement and light angle. Common mistake at the dining position: pairing the deep green chair with a dark table where the color disappears into the table surface. Against pale oak, marble, or light stone the deep forest green reads clearly as the table's deliberate contrast at the seat level.
At 25.6 square the compact footprint fits four to six chairs around a standard dining table without crowding. The swivel function changes the dining experience: the sitter turns toward a conversation partner or rises from the table without pushing back from the seat. PU foam and plywood frame provide the structural base. At 41.5 pounds the chair moves easily when repositioning for cleaning or rearranging.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
