Dark Brown Leather Accent Chair with Walnut Frame (GO-1013-03) by Moe's Home Collection

Dark Brown Leather Accent Chair with Walnut Frame | 29 Inch | Accent Chair
The walnut frame is the architecture. Four tapered legs, two flat arm rails extending horizontally from the front posts, two vertical back posts with a narrow top rail -- everything exposed, nothing upholstered over the structure. The seat cushion rests on webbing suspension between the frame members and the back cushion sits within the back posts as a floating square. Two materials, both fully legible from every angle: warm dark grain wood and leather.
The leather in this finish is a dark grey-brown -- not a warm cognac but a cooler, more aged tone that reads almost as slate in certain light. Against the warm walnut this is a slight temperature contrast: warm grain wood, cool-dark leather. The combination reads as considered and slightly more complex than the tonal harmony of the tan version. The natural variation of top grain leather is visible across the cushion surface, and the colour will develop slightly over time at the most-handled areas.
At 29 by 33 by 35 inches this is a properly proportioned accent chair rather than a lounge piece -- upright enough for focused use, compact enough to place in a living room corner without crowding it. The open frame lets light and sight pass through behind and beneath the seat, which keeps the piece from adding visual mass disproportionate to its actual scale. At 34.7 pounds it moves easily, and the webbing suspension provides a firmer, more responsive seat than foam block alone.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
