Description

Cedar Green Channeled Office Chair with Five-Star Caster Base | 32 Inch | Office Chair

Same channeled upholstered back and seat on the height-adjustable black five-star caster base as the light brown office version -- in cedar green, which changes the desk chair's room reading from warm neutral to grounded color. In a home office with wood shelving, a natural desk surface, and pale walls the cedar green chair introduces a specific color note at the work position rather than disappearing into the background. The vertical channels catch shadow against the dark olive field, giving the back surface texture and definition that reads across the room even at desk height.

The cedar green at a desk position holds its tone in daylight and lamplight both -- the dark olive does not bleach in bright window light and does not disappear into the room's warmth in the evening. For home offices that double as study spaces or creative rooms where the visual character of the room matters, the color choice here does more work than a neutral upholstery would. The black five-star base reads as a composed complement to the dark green seat body.

All practical notes from the light brown office version apply: compact footprint, standard caster and swivel function, no armrests for full desk tuck clearance, 26 pounds. The cedar green version makes the same form and the same functional argument in a color register that the room will notice.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
