Berry Purple Dining Chairs Set of 2 (EF-1009-38) by Moe's Home Collection

Berry Upholstered Seat Dining Chair with Oak Rail Back and Natural Frame | 30 Inch | Dining Chair
Same refined minimal form -- natural pale oak frame, exposed wood back rails, a single upholstered seat -- in a deep berry polyester. The berry seat changes the chair's dining room register completely. Where the dark green reads as earthy and integrated and the stripe reads as near-neutral, the berry reads as the table's color decision: a rich plum-purple seat at each position, the pale natural oak frame above and around it providing the warm-wood counterpoint. The contrast between pale luminous oak and saturated deep berry is the pairing's specific energy -- two tones in entirely different registers composing a chair that reads as considered from across the dining room.
At a full table the berry seats present as a series of deep warm-purple cushions at the dining zone, the pale oak backs visible above them as minimal open structures. In morning dining room light the berry reads at its most saturated, the pale oak frame catching the light while the deep seats hold their color against it. In warm dining lamplight the berry deepens toward a complex wine-plum, the pale oak frame developing a slight honey warmth -- the pairing settling into a rich, warm-material reading that a more tonally uniform arrangement would not produce.
Berry is the color version of this chair for rooms where the dining zone is meant to make a visual statement -- rooms where pale walls and warm wood surfaces provide the contrast ground that the saturated seats require. The dark tone handles contact marks and dining use more forgivingly than a pale would. The polyester upholstery wipes clean efficiently. Sold as a set of two.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
