Berry Purple Dining Chairs Set of 2 (EF-1004-38) by Moe's Home Collection

Berry Upholstered Dining Chair with Slatted Arched Wood Back | 32 Inch | Dining Chair
Same slatted arched back -- vertical rubber wood slats within a rounded arch frame, the dark walnut-stained wood reading from across the room as a warm-dark crafted structure at back height -- with a deep berry/plum upholstered seat. The tone change from cream to berry changes the chair's room argument entirely. Where the cream seat provides tonal contrast against the dark frame, the berry seat reads as the dining table's color decision: a deep wine-purple at each seating position, the dark walnut back above it occupying the same rich dark range. At a table of four or six, the berry seats read as a composed row of saturated warm-dark color notes, the slatted arched backs rising above them in the same dark walnut register.
Berry at the dining table is a commitment that rewards the right room. Against pale plaster walls and a warm wood table the berry seats read as the dining zone's one color decision -- the saturated plum registering as intentional and composed rather than unexpected. In morning dining room light the berry polyester reads at its most vivid, the dark slats above each seat framing the color from above. In warm dining lamplight the berry deepens toward a richer, more complex plum-red, the slatted back reading as a warm dark structure at the upper field of each chair's silhouette.
The practical advantage of berry over cream at a dining position: the deep tone accumulates minor contact marks and light soiling far less visibly. The polyester fabric cleans efficiently regardless. Sold as a set of two. Compact 19.5-inch width matches the cream version throughout.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
