Description

Light Beige Modular Storage Ottoman | 19 Inch | Modular Ottoman

Same Swift storage ottoman form -- 40.16 wide, 35 deep, 19.29 high, lift-top storage compartment, cushioned top surface -- in light beige polyester. The light beige reads at the ottoman's low position as a warm, settled neutral element at the seating zone's floor level -- clean and composed, the smooth surface integrating with surrounding natural fiber rugs and warm wood floors without a color assertion. In a full light beige Swift configuration the ottoman reads as a continuous extension of the seating arrangement's tonal palette, the pale surface holding its place as a useful low horizontal without visual interruption.

The storage function is the same as in the dark green version: the cushioned top lifts to reveal the interior, providing concealed storage for living room items within the seating arrangement itself. At 19.29 high the ottoman sits at a functional foot-rest position relative to the Swift chairs' 34.65-inch seat height, the height relationship appropriate for extended-leg comfort at the seated position. As occasional seating the cushioned top provides a firm, yielding surface for a guest or for short-term sitting use.

Light beige on the ottoman top surface requires somewhat more attentive maintenance than the dark green -- daily use at foot level accumulates more visible soiling on a pale surface. The engineered wood frame provides the structural enclosure. The polyester fabric spot-cleans with a damp cloth; treat spot marks promptly on the pale-ground fabric.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
