32" Framed Dome Painting (JQ-1064-37) by Moe's Home Collection

Biomorphic Abstract Canvas with Interlocking Dark and Pale Arcs | 48 Inch | Wall Art
Two large curved forms dominate the canvas against a warm cream ground: a dark charcoal-grey arc and a pale grey-white arc that interlock across the canvas in a composition that reads simultaneously as two opposing shapes and as a single interlocked form. A deep red-burgundy sliver curves through the point where the two forms meet, providing the painting's one warm accent -- the hinge between the two arcs. The composition has a formal confidence that puts it in clear conversation with geometric abstraction of the mid-century: the forms are biomorphic but controlled, the palette deliberately limited to three values plus the one warm note.
Against the warm cream ground the dark-pale pairing reads with strong tonal contrast -- the composition is legible from across the room as a clear geometric statement. In a room with mid-century material references -- warm walnut, clean-line furniture, pendant lighting with simple profiles -- this painting reads as a composed peer to the period vocabulary. It does not require that context to work, but it earns it when present.
At 32 by 48 inches in a thin warm float frame the vertical format gives the interlocked arcs room to read as full forms. The painting is direct about what it is: a resolved geometric composition in a limited palette with one decision of color.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
