Description

Wildflower Meadow Acrylic Painting | 30 Inch | Framed Wall Art

An impressionistic wildflower meadow at the moment before the sky closes in -- a foreground of loosely worked lavender, yellow, and green botanicals, dark treelines framing the middle distance, and a wide overcast gray sky that holds the upper third of the canvas. The palette is warm but the mood is atmospheric rather than bright: the colors are naturalistic and not saturated, with the cool gray sky pulling the overall temperature of the piece toward the contemplative rather than the celebratory. It reads as a specific time of day and season rather than a generic landscape.

The acrylic on canvas has the surface quality of a hand-worked piece -- visible brushwork throughout, thicker paint application in the foreground botanicals, thinner coverage in the sky. From across the room the painting reads as a warm landscape scene; at close range the brushwork and paint texture become legible as the physical surface of a made object. The gold floater frame gives the canvas a warm edge without adding a mat or additional visual border. No glass, which means the paint surface and texture are fully visible.

At 30 by 40 inches the piece has sufficient wall presence to anchor a wall position without requiring a large room. In a space with natural materials and pale walls the warm green-yellow-lavender palette introduces color through subject rather than surface -- the colors belong to the scene depicted, not to a finish or material decision in the room itself.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
