Description

Natural Oak Side Table with Bracket Feet | 22 Inch | Side Table

At this scale the bracket foot detail that runs through the series reads most prominently. The feet are a significant proportion of the overall 20-inch height -- on the coffee table they're a detail; here they're an active feature, extending outward at each corner and giving the compact form a grounded, planted quality that simple tapered legs wouldn't have. The open-through interior -- no apron or shelf blocking the view between legs -- means the four legs and their feet are the composition from every angle. The structural elements are the design.

At 22 by 21 inches the top surface is almost square in plan, compact enough to place close to a chair or sofa without claiming floor space. The 20-inch height sits at the lower end of side table heights -- accessible for placing a drink or book from a standard seat, and proportionally correct beside a sofa rather than reading as a full side table. The natural oak has the same warm light tone as the coffee and console table in this series; the grain is visible across the small top surface and down the leg faces.

At 49 pounds the piece is light enough to reposition easily. The compact footprint and the bracket feet make this the type of side table that reads as a considered object rather than simply a surface -- the structural detail at the base is visible from a standing distance and gives the piece a design identity that a plain square table wouldn't have. Paired with the coffee table or console from the same series, the bracket foot logic connects the three pieces as a designed family without requiring identical forms.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View

Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.

That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.

The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin

A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing

Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.

In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.

His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.

The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.

The goal was never perfection. It was presence.

The Craft

Material First - Trend Second

Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.

The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.

The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.

- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
