21" Dark Brown C-Form Sofa Side Table (BV-1040-20) by Moe's Home Collection

Dark Brown Mango Wood C-Profile Side Table | 23 Inch | Side Table
The form is a single continuous C-profile -- a flat top surface, a vertical side panel descending from one edge, a flat foot extending from the base of that panel. Three planes, one form, no additional legs or structure. The dark brown mango wood renders the C-profile as a composed material presence: the grain visible through the stain across each plane, the piece reading as a resolved single-material object rather than an assembled table. At 20.5 inches wide and 22.7 inches high it fits the seating-adjacent zone -- the foot sliding under a sofa edge or chair base while the top surface extends beside the seated position at usable height.
The C-profile form has a specific practical advantage that conventional side tables do not: it can position its top surface directly beside an arm or cushion without requiring floor clearance on all sides. The foot slides under an adjacent sofa skirt or between chair legs, bringing the working surface close to the seated position without any leg structure competing for floor space at the side. In a tight living room or bedroom where floor area beside the seating is limited, this is not a styling detail but a genuine functional distinction from any four-legged alternative.
In morning light the dark mango grain reads through the stain as a material undertone -- the warm wood character present beneath the deep brown finish, the three planes each catching light differently based on their orientation. The vertical side panel reads as a flat surface plane in shadow when light comes from above; the top and foot catch the light directly. In warm lamplight the dark brown deepens, the C-form reading as a settled, minimal presence at the seating edge. At 24 pounds the piece is stable at its C-profile base; position so the foot has full contact with the floor rather than cantilevering over an edge or rug threshold.

Moe's Home Collection:Forty Years of Furniture With a Point of View
Some brands earn trust loudly. Moe's has never needed to. The evidence shows up in rooms, season after season, in pieces that end up feeling more considered than their owners quite anticipated. More grounded. More alive.
That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because someone decided, a long time ago, that material and craft were worth the extra conversation, and never really stopped having it.
A Design House, Not a Furniture Factory
The Pieces Feel Found - Not Simply Bought

The Origin
A Family That BuiltSomething From Nothing
Moe Samieian Sr. arrived in Canada with an engineering degree and almost nowhere to use it. So he sold rugs at road shows, worked on commission, and learned the retail floor through years of direct customer contact.
In 1986 he opened his first store in Vancouver. Walking the trade shows, he kept noticing the same thing: most furniture looked identical. So he started hunting for pieces with something to say. Antiques. Flea-market finds. Objects with texture and history. More stores followed, and in 1999 he moved decisively into wholesale.
His children Sara and Moe Jr. carried that instinct forward. Not what merely sells. What resonates. That distinction still drives every collection.
The materials earn their place. Wood warms the edges. Stone steadies the eye. Steel adds tension. Glass lets the composition breathe. A hand-worked surface keeps a modern room from feeling too resolved.
The goal was never perfection. It was presence.
Moe's Is Built for PeopleWho Notice the Difference

The Craft
Material First - Trend Second
Every collection is designed in-house, then built through a manufacturing network developed over decades. Vietnam, India, Italy, Poland, Canada, the USA. Not the lowest-cost option in any of those places. Long-term makers who've been held to the same standards long enough that the standards stopped needing to be explained.
The construction is what you'd expect from that kind of relationship. Solid hardwood frames. High-density foam. Hardware that doesn't announce itself by failing early. These are not selling points so much as baseline expectations that a lot of furniture quietly fails to meet.
The materials go further than that. Acacia grain that no engineered surface comes close to replicating. Stone that grounds a room both visually and physically, which are different things and both matter. Mixed metals chosen for tension rather than coordination. FSC-certified wood and responsible sourcing throughout, though the more honest argument for it shows up over time, in how the pieces age rather than what the spec sheet says.
- Moe's does not source furniture. It curates it.
